Community Helper Week

Kingston's Kindergarten class had a community helper week.  He worked on a project with me while we were in Neosho for his community helper.  He chose a police officer and did a fantastic job on his project.  While I was at school working, the Maumelle Fire Department came and talked to the kids.  They had fun going through the truck and seeing a firefighter dressed in his gear.  It was an educational afternoon.

This Thanksgiving did not go as planned.  The RV broke down about 15 minutes outside of Neosho.  Mom and Dad had to have it towed to Freightliners in Neosho for it to be worked on.  Needless to say, Mom and Dad weren't at our Lindley Family Thanksgiving.  We stayed in Neosho until Tuesday.  While we were there, we played many a game with Aunt JJ, saw the movie Star, and ate a lot of food.  On Tuesday, we headed to Branson to meet the Barbers.  We stayed with them Tuesday and Wednesday night.  On Wednesday, we headed on to Silver Dollar City and met up with Mom and Dad. The lights there are always so pretty.  Kingston was able to see Santa at the Bass Pro Shop with no line!  He asked him for a drone and a remote control car.  Wednesday at Silver Dollar City, he wrote another letter to Santa and added Pokemon cards to his list.  He even met Rudolph while he was there.

I couldn't resist taking him to stand under the mistletoe.  I told him when we took a picture there what it was.  He said, so I have to kiss you?  And he did....sweet boy.  We spent the rest of our time in Branson with Mom and Dad at the RV.  We got in another movie- Wonder, and shopped til we dropped.  It turned out to be a fun vacation.

Fall Fest and Classroom Party

Kingston had his Fall Fest party and carnival this past Friday.  I was up at school all day!  They decorated Turkeys for the classroom and then pigged out on cookies, juice, and fruit.  At the party, Kingston was visiting with his friend Bryce.  Bryce was telling me how his sister got on his nerves.  I looked at him and said, "My brother used to get on my nerves too."  Kingston's eyes lit up as he recognized who I was talking about.  He came and with cookie crumbs and all wrapped his arms around my neck and whispered in my ear, "Tell him about Daddy and him climbing down the tree outside his window."  So I did.  Bryce just laughed.  It was fun spending time in his classroom and with his classmates.  After school, it was time for the carnival.  I didn't get to see any of it as I worked the classroom game all night.  Luke took Kingston around to see all the games and take some pictures.  Our classroom had the crockpot basket for the silent auction.  We left around 8:30 because it was cold and raining.  It was an exhausting but fun day!

Kingston playing Soccer

Kingston played a good game of soccer today in Maumelle.  He is so much like his daddy.  He loves playing keeper as well as forward.  He is really getting in some good touches and passes to his teammates.  Today, I heard him call he was open for the first time.  It's so much fun getting to watch him play.

Silver Dollar City

Natalie and I took the boys this past week to Branson and Silver Dollar City.  We had a great time.  The boys rode a few rides with Natalie.  Grayson even went on Fire in the Hole- I was impressed!  We walked and ate kettle corn.  We even got to see a horse show and Kent Rollins from the Food Network make baked beans.  We ate lunch at the Mexican place in Silver Dollar City.  At Sullivan's Mill, I got the boys a cookie- Grayson took all afternoon to eat it!  The boys both got pirate gear that they later wore in the hotel.  It was a fun time of eating, shopping, and riding rides!
