Luke and I took Kayla today to Hot Springs. She's never seen it before so we thought why not! We stopped at the old schoolhouse flea market on the way there....long enough to look around and get some pictures. We ate lunch at Jasons....and even split a piece of pie. It was yummy! We drove around and showed her bath house row and even the lookouts. We were so beat from a late night or early morning...that we all came home and crashed.

Dinner Among some good old friends!

Checking out Joe's new girlfriend on Facebook....you never can trust his judgement! LOL!

Me & Nick

Joe & Nick

Luke and I had Joe and Nick over for dinner. Kayla was able to join us as well. She's been living with us for a month now and we are loving it. She eats about anything so that's wonderful...she'll even eat leftovers! Luke had to work last night until late, but we were all able to eat dinner together. I made BBQ Chicken, baked potatoes, corn on the cob, and some fried okra. Luke and I even made a Peach and Blueberry Cobbler together. It was enough to feed an army.
Kayla was able to officially meet Nick and Joe. She has heard about them for a month now and bless her...she put up with them! We talked about old times, old girlfriends and new ones, and had some good laughs.
We left after supper to go visit Joe's Mom in the hospital. It was a good night for her and we were very thankful to visit with her. Afterwards, Luke went to work while Kayla and I went out with Nick and Joe to see Transformers 2. Neither one of us has seen the first one....it's basically a movie to see how much stuff one can blow up! We didn't get home til 2 am!!! Luke wasn't that far behind either! We aren't as young as we used to be!

A Prayer Shawl of Importance

I recently finished a prayer shawl for Joe's Mom Betty. I thought about making her one in a different color or pattern, but this was truly the one the Lord intended for her. She's been in poor health for a while and has recently gone downhill. Joe has been one of my best friends for years and I was thrilled and honored to be able to give this to his mother. She was in good spirits last night at the hospital and seemed to really enjoy the company and comfort we brought to her!

Prayer Shawl Meeting

Our Ladies: Mom, Cindy Davis, Bobbi Wilkins, Lisa Webb, and Jodi Brock

We were able to prayer over this laprobe Mom made..it's just too pretty!

Our Prayer Shawl Ladies are simply wonderful. This morning we had a great time of visiting and fixing patterns for those who have major problems with knitting....aka...ME!!! After our meeting we were all able to meet at Chick Fila for lunch. I just love these gals!

Crazy George!!!

I am sitting here reading my emails and all of a sudden I hear some rustling behind me. At the Williams household, that's never a good sign. I turn around and this is what I see...a cat in a box! Go figure!

We celebrated the fourth of July in Neosho, Missouri visiting family. It was a quick trip for Luke and me. We drove up on Friday and came home on Saturday. We had a wonderful celebration and fellowship with family. Aunt Val even flew in for the festivities. Ma fixed a wonderful taco dinner complete with all the fixings. Aunt JJ made an ice cream dessert that was yummy! Aunt Linda even helped make a dump cake. Aunt Viv brought her homemade chocolate pies....yummy! We shared stories, knitting patterns and crochet ideas, played cards (well I didn't...and I still owe Aunt Val some money...LOL), and shared a lot of laughter. Mom, Dad, Luke, and I all stayed at the Super 8 in Neosho because that's always where Uncle George and Aunt Linda stayed. Well, come to find out, Uncle George and Aunt Linda stayed this time at the Best Western because that's where we always stayed! Too funny!

Luke and I in Alaska...June 2003

This past Sunday, June 28th Luke and I celebrated 6 years of marriage. We had a wonderful weekend. Luke brought me home flowers on Friday night. On Saturday we worked some around the house, got a surprise bouqet of flowers from Mom and Dad, and then went to dinner at Cozymels. It was delicious. Luke even surprised me with Keith Urban concert tickets...yes!!!We also went to see The Proposal at the Chenal Movie theatre. It was a great movie...and very fitting for us. It was set in Alaska, which is where we spent our honeymoon some 6 years ago. It's been an amazing 6 years and I can't wait for many more years together!
Dinner at Cozymels...taken with Luke's phone b/c I forgot my camera!
