This is what I discovered when I was cleaning house today. I put the trash in the garage and Luke takes it to the can when he gets home. My little Red Focus has been leaking small amounts of oil off and on for a while now...and we've just dealt with it. It hasn't been as bad because Luke has been driving it a lot. Well, today after finding this HUGE puddle, we may be looking for a new car. I sure do love my Focus though!

Some Great News!
I went to the dreaded ENT today to see how my left ear has been doing with the tube. It's officially been in there 1 year ago in June. I was nervous going in because a) I didn't want him to pull the tube out, and b) I didn't want to have a hole in my eardrum....b/c I've been there before and it wasn't fun! I ended up getting great news.....my ear is completely healed and the tube is in the ear canal...so eventually it will just fall out on its own! Praise God!! I asked him about the constant popping I am having and he said, "Well you're just not right in the head." I told him that my husband, family, and friends already knew that! ha! He told me it was just from having ear surgeries and I would have to deal with the pressure being off in my head. Oh well...if that's all he had to say I'm so thankful! Thank You Jesus for small everyday miracles!

On Saturday Luke and I went to the Class of '99 10 Year Reunion. We had a blast! Going to a small school like SCA, meant that you were close to a lot of the graduating classes, not just your own. Since each class had such a small number, that meant you knew everyone! Jennifer Ladd Harris did a WONDERFUL job getting the cookout together. We had burgers, hot dogs, chips, beans, and all the fixings. We got to look at old yearbooks and scrapbooks and talk about old times. It was neat seeing everybodies kids! It was a great afternoon....a little hot, but we made it! Even Mrs. Harris came to visit....she was always one of my favorites! It was a great time!

Harmony Wood Needles!!!
Harmony Wood Needles
The WHOLE set!!!
For those of you who don't knit...well you won't be as excited as I am right now. For those of you that DO knit....you REALLY, REALLY, need some of these fantastic needles. It's like you are knitting through butter! Luke surprised me today with the whole set....I have needle sizes from 4-17...woo hoo! I'm off here to go knit on my shawl!!! Thanks Luke for being a wonderful hubby!
My Lily
Christylee came over for lunch yesterday. We made a Honey Mustard Chicken Pizza, Salad, and Hershey Pie for dessert. Actually, we only made the pizza, and cut up the veggies, the rest was store bought! We had a good time visiting as usual and I couldn't resist taking pics of my Lily...whose already walking!!! Where has the time gone!

Fond Memories, Old Bowl
My PaPa, Grandma, and Me
My Banana Pudding
I'm having a friend over for lunch today and decided to make a Banana Pudding. I have fond memories of making Banana Puddings with my Grandma. We lived across the street from Grandma and PaPa growing up and I would always go see Grandma during the day. We usually baked some kind of sweetness because my PaPa loved his sweets! I'm not sure how many Banana Puddings were made in this bowl...but it sure is special to me. Just having Luke get it out of the cabinet last night brought back a flood of memories. Grandma had a special red knife that she would let me use to cut up the bananas. We always used Nilla Wafers...that was a must. Cool Whip and Vanilla pudding had to be the staple too! I loved my Grandma so much! Even though she's now in heaven, I still have this bowl...and better yet the memories to go along with it!

Treasure your loved ones
I spent the early hours of this morning surrounded by my best friends. Joe's Mom passed away about midnight tonight. As I sat there this evening with Joe, Nick, and Luke it reminded me again how precious loved ones are....whether they are your family or your friends. We must make a daily effort to tell each other how much we care about one another....because you just never know. My heart breaks for Joe, but I know "Mom" (as I called her) is in a much better place. She's with her Joe and is pain free and probably sitting at Jesus's feet right now!
It was a tearsome blessing for me to find out tonight that she wore the shawl I made for her everyday since last Friday. She truly loved all of us as each of her children. She always wanted me as a daughter in law...and she thought Nick and Joe always faught like an old married couple. She will always hold a special place in my heart.

A GREAT start to the day!!!
Luke and I have been walking Tyndall Park here in Benton almost every morning. We get there around 6 and are done by 6:30. Well this morning was fun to say the least. It was our second lap....we were talking...and BAM....I tripped and fell. I'm sure I did some amazing leaps and bounds and contorted moves on my way to the ground. I am nursing a HUGE scrape on my right knee and I think I majorly pulled my left hamstring muscle.
Luke was so sweet. We tried walking me back to the car....but by then my blood sugar was WAY low. I didn't want to pass out as I have before (back when I was on crutches), so we got me to a bench to sit while he got the car. We went to Walgreens for bandages and medicine. He doctored me up and here I am!
My leg looks lovely and my other one hurts! Any ideas for helping a pulled hamstring? I have already had 2 midols this morning which are supposed to help with muscle cramping...so we'll see!
Thanks Luke for being a wonderful husband, even when your wife is a complete klutz!!!

Luke and I took Kayla today to Hot Springs. She's never seen it before so we thought why not! We stopped at the old schoolhouse flea market on the way there....long enough to look around and get some pictures. We ate lunch at Jasons....and even split a piece of pie. It was yummy! We drove around and showed her bath house row and even the lookouts. We were so beat from a late night or early morning...that we all came home and crashed.
Dinner Among some good old friends!
Checking out Joe's new girlfriend on Facebook....you never can trust his judgement! LOL!
All laughs.....Nick, Me, Kayla
Me & Nick
Joe & Nick
Luke and I had Joe and Nick over for dinner. Kayla was able to join us as well. She's been living with us for a month now and we are loving it. She eats about anything so that's wonderful...she'll even eat leftovers! Luke had to work last night until late, but we were all able to eat dinner together. I made BBQ Chicken, baked potatoes, corn on the cob, and some fried okra. Luke and I even made a Peach and Blueberry Cobbler together. It was enough to feed an army.
Kayla was able to officially meet Nick and Joe. She has heard about them for a month now and bless her...she put up with them! We talked about old times, old girlfriends and new ones, and had some good laughs.
We left after supper to go visit Joe's Mom in the hospital. It was a good night for her and we were very thankful to visit with her. Afterwards, Luke went to work while Kayla and I went out with Nick and Joe to see Transformers 2. Neither one of us has seen the first one....it's basically a movie to see how much stuff one can blow up! We didn't get home til 2 am!!! Luke wasn't that far behind either! We aren't as young as we used to be!
