Yes, we drove in this....

Snow!!!

On Saturday Mom, Dad, and I headed to Neosho for a quick visit- meaning we would leave on Sunday....come rain or shine...or well, snow! Aunt Val was in for a visit as well. It was so good to see her. We had a Mexican Dinner- which really hit the spot.

After dinner, the snow was falling pretty hard, but that didn't stop us from going to check out Katie and Kyle's new home. After slipping and sliding up a hill with Dad driving, Aunt JJ remembered that we were in a 2 wheel drive. Aunt Val and I were scared to death!!! I asked her if she wanted me to hold her hand, and we both just laughed. Katie and Kyle's house was great...and their new little puppy Gibson was the best!!! The way home that night was a little less slippery as we decided to avoid the hills of Neosho....which is hard to do!!!

Sunday morning rolled around and Mom and Dad were determined we were going home. If it had been me, I would have just stayed. We headed toward Little Rock after breakfast. Neosho roads were a piece of cake compared to I 540. At one time, I texted Luke and Christylee to let them know that if I died, they just needed to disperse my scrapbooks amongst themselves. Once we got to Alma, the roads had cleared and we were home free. It was a quick but fun and memory filled trip!

Lily & Wye Mountain

Christylee, Lily (hidden), and Me

They were so pretty!

Lily.....

I have a picture taken right here of me and my Grandma from years ago!

Today Christylee and I took Lily to Wye Mountain for a photo shoot. I would have been happy with a cloudy day, but that wasn't the case today. Lily would not look at the camera for love or money! I spent most of the time running around flowers to catch the "perfect shot." These aren't as great as the last time, but I love that little girl anyway. Enjoy!

I am blessed....

I went to tutor my little person yesterday, and can I just say she ALWAYS makes my day? I love being around her and watching her grow into a very smart young lady! She has been struggling a lot in Math- division mostly. I've tried charts, counting beans- which she HATES beans, explaining until I'm blue...everything.

Yesterday she actually started getting it!!! I could have done a happy dance right there in the library. She realized part of what we were struggling to understand. The best part- she got an A on her Math test...how awesome is that!

As I was leaving the school I noticed her picture in the hallway, she has excelled in Reading- which is what I worked with her on last year. Could I get anymore proud????

I wonder if that's how God feels when we do something or excel in something He wants us to do! Just a thought!

Wye Mountain

This past Saturday, Luke and I had a chance to take a trip to Wye Mountain. We love it up there. The Jonquils were just about to bloom....so we didn't get a chance to take a lot of pictures- and it was FREEZING!!!! It was a fun day to spend with the hubby.

Madea's Big Happy Family

Eating at the Neely's:

You can read about it below....not a good experience, as Luke said, "I got carnival cheese on my nachos!!!!"

Luke in Downtown Memphis

Me in Downtown Memphis

We're excited can you tell....it's TYLER PERRY!!!!!!

Where we at dinner.....it was as good as at home!

Our dinner

Madea was there, I promise, but these were taken with Luke's Iphone!

She's there too!!!!

And there....

Before the play began

Can you even tell it's Tyler/Madea!!!!!!

On Saturday Luke and I made a trip over to Memphis to see Tyler Perry's Madea's Big Happy Family. I couldn't wait!!!! We made it to Memphis in time to do a little yarn shopping....for me that is...and eat at the Neely's. I was super excited about getting to eat at the Neely's.....let's just say it wasn't all it was cracked up to be. I ordered BBQ Nachos....they came with squirt cheese all over them!!!!! Luke got the ribs and neither one of us were impressed. After lunch, we decided to walk in downtown Memphis. We enjoyed some ice cream at Maggie Moo's and even took a few pictures.

Tyler's play was at 3. It was a WONDERFUL play!!!!! Cassie Vance who plays Ella in House of Payne was in this play as well as Tyler himself....as Madea. He sang "Pants on the Ground" and a few other songs. Once he got on a roll though, it was hilarious. Some people don't like the Madea character, but I think we need more Madea's in this world. She doesn't take any crap off people, tells it like it is, and this play had Jesus all in it....in a good way!!!! If it didn't make you want to PTL then I don't know what will. OK, I'm off my soapbox, enjoy the pictures!!!!
