Christmas Day

Mom loved the runner I made.
Never judge a box by it's cover- Mom and Dad put gift cards in a cereal box.  Kingston was super excited.

Christmas Day was a fun filled day at the Williams household.  Kingston and Natalie joined us for the Christmas Day fun.  We ate breakfast casserole while discussing Santa.  Kingston walked right past the carrots thrown all over the front yard.  When he finally discovered them, he said, " The easter bunny must have been here."  He wasn't impressed at all.  We told him he left cookies and milk too- already eaten!  Santa delivered him a drone which he had fun playing all morning.  We ate a lunch of pot roast, mashed potatoes, gravy, cream cheese corn, orange fluff, and rolls.  We had fun celebrating Jesus' birthday.

Gingerbread House

Last night Kingston and I decorated a gingerbread house.  Whoever decided to sell the house already put together was a genius.  It made it so much easier!  He had an idea for exactly how he wanted his house to be built.  Of course, he ate candy along the way.  We laughed and made a huge mess while Uncle Luke took pictures.  He was pretty happy with the end product and I think it turned out cute!

Christmas Party Day

Kingston had his Christmas Party day this past Friday.  I got to school early to finish up the homeroom Christmas present and spent the rest of the day with Kingston.  The kids did a book exchange.  Kingston got another Dr. Seuss book about trees. He really liked it.  After lunch,  it was Polar Express time.  The kids gathered round on a "train" ride with their golden tickets.  I fixed them hot chocolate- which Kingston later told me wasn't hot at all- and marshmallows.  They watched the movie off and on through the day.  That afternoon, we surprised Ms. Atwood with an early birthday present and cupcakes.  Her birthday is over the Christmas break.  She loved her bag!  For the Christmas party, the kids ate pizza, cookies, and cupcakes.  It was sugar overload- but so much fun.

That afternoon, I took Kingston home and we dipped Ritz Crackers with peanut butter and chocolate.  He had the best time doing that.  We ate dinner at Flying Fish downtown with Luke and went to see the capital lights.  He was out by the time we got home.  It was a long, fun-filled day.

Community Helper Week

Kingston's Kindergarten class had a community helper week.  He worked on a project with me while we were in Neosho for his community helper.  He chose a police officer and did a fantastic job on his project.  While I was at school working, the Maumelle Fire Department came and talked to the kids.  They had fun going through the truck and seeing a firefighter dressed in his gear.  It was an educational afternoon.

Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving did not go as planned.  The RV broke down about 15 minutes outside of Neosho.  Mom and Dad had to have it towed to Freightliners in Neosho for it to be worked on.  Needless to say, Mom and Dad weren't at our Lindley Family Thanksgiving.  We stayed in Neosho until Tuesday.  While we were there, we played many a game with Aunt JJ, saw the movie Star, and ate a lot of food.  On Tuesday, we headed to Branson to meet the Barbers.  We stayed with them Tuesday and Wednesday night.  On Wednesday, we headed on to Silver Dollar City and met up with Mom and Dad. The lights there are always so pretty.  Kingston was able to see Santa at the Bass Pro Shop with no line!  He asked him for a drone and a remote control car.  Wednesday at Silver Dollar City, he wrote another letter to Santa and added Pokemon cards to his list.  He even met Rudolph while he was there.

I couldn't resist taking him to stand under the mistletoe.  I told him when we took a picture there what it was.  He said, so I have to kiss you?  And he did....sweet boy.  We spent the rest of our time in Branson with Mom and Dad at the RV.  We got in another movie- Wonder, and shopped til we dropped.  It turned out to be a fun vacation.
