Branson Day 1

Ok there is something on this truck everyone must have...LOL!!!

This was a lookout where Mom & Dad had their pic made on their honeymoon.

So we did too

The best place on earth!

We're staying here...room 209

This basket is FULL. All we've done is eat so far!
Think that Cinnamon Roll is as big as my head??
We are in Branson!!! I'm so excited. We have had a wonderful time so far. Luke and I left the house about 8 and dropped MadisonMurphy off at Dr. Mike's. We ate a healthy breakfast at McDonalds (yeah right) and then made our way to Branson. Lunch was at Gilbert Cafe...our favorite spot for Bread Pudding. Luke had a Turkey Sandwich and I had their grilled club that was great! We even got a HUGE Cinnamon Roll to go. We got to Branson at about 2 o'clock. In our room was a food bouquet from Mom and Dad. There are tons of munchies in it and we've already been eating the candy! Thanks!!! We ate at the hotel tonight and went shopping at the malls. The middle of the week is a great time to be at the malls...no people. Thanks to Jason for helping us remember what to buy at Harry and David. I could spend a fortune in there for sure! Why have I never been to that store before?? Well I am off to read and spend some time with Luke. Tomorrow we are going to Noah the musical and have backstage passes...we can hardly wait! Enjoy the pics!

Snow Cones

Mr. Sweet Tart Man

Tropical Sno

It was a HUGE small

Well, that's attractive!
After the Travs Game, Luke and I stopped at the Tropical Snow stand on Alcoa. The sweet girl working it gave us WAY more than our sized cup. Luke enjoyed a Sweet Tart and I had a Wedding Cake Snow Cone. Needless to say, we ate it outside before we got in the car. It was a great cool treat!

The field

The stadium
We went to the Travs game last night with the church. They provided supper and popcorn. It was hot and muggy but we still had a lot of fun. We sat with Mrs. Meryl and Mr. John and their daughter Joey. We laughed and visited and had a great time of fellowship! I didn't even pay attention to the game!

Father's Day with Dad

Yesterday after church we headed back to our house for a Father's Day Lunch. Luke grilled us some pork chops while Mom and I fixed our famous Ranch Bacon Cheese Taters. We also had deviled eggs and baked beans....both of which I don't want again for a while-2 days in a row!!! Dad filled out his questions and did a wonderful job! We ate a good lunch and had enough time to nap before heading to the Travs game!

Father's Day with the Williams

Brenda-Luke's Mom

Frank-Luke's Grandpa

Wanda- Luke's Grandma

Alan-Luke's Dad
Saturday night we invited Luke's Dad and Grandpa over for a Father's Day Meal. We grilled burgers (put a little brown sugar and Dale's Marinade in your burgers next time you grill..OH MY!!!), deviled eggs, baked beans, tamale dip, grilled onions, and a Chocolate Creme Pie. It was SO good. Before we had desert, I printed up some questionnaire's I wanted everyone to answer. Someday I will do a scrapbook on these. The questions ranged from your favorite late night munchies to what you liked about your spouse. Not all the questions were answered but I learned some funny things hearing everyone talk. Luke's family is camera-shy...which I don't get...so these pics are kinda crazy! Enjoy! Happy Father's Day you manly men!!!

A Sneak Peak for Supper

Homemade Apple Pie

Roasted Veggies
Ok, here's what we are having tonight. Grilled Pork Chops, Roasty Toasty Veggies, and homemade Apple Pie for dessert! I can't wait.

Here's the recipe for the Roasted Veggies, they are so good!
Any veggies you like quartered. I used new potatoes, carrots, yellow and zucchini squash, and a vidalia onion. Toss them with a little vegetable oil and about 5 shakes of Soy Sauce. Place them in a 9x13 and bake at 400 til they are done. Usually about 30-45 minutes. They are great. The veggies turn kind of sweet and the soy sauce is great on them!

My Apple Pie Recipe:
4 apples (I used 2 granny smiths and 2 red delicious)
3/4c. Sugar ( I also threw in a handful of brown sugar too!)
1 tsp. Cinnamon
1/4 tsp. Nutmeg
Dash of Salt
2 T. of flour
Mix altogether and add to your pie shell. Top with lattice work and brush with an egg wash. I sprinkled some more cinnamon and sugar on the top. Bake at 400 for 50 minutes.

Hope it's good! The pie plate I used I bought the first time Luke and I went to Silver Dollar City together. We weren't even married then. We did a day trip and had a blast...can you tell I'm ready to go to Branson next week??? Have a good evening!

Mexican Cheesy Chicken Recipe

I made this for dinner last night and it was awesome! It's one of Grandma's old recipes. I didn't take any pics of it, but trust us...tasty for sure!

Mexican Cheesy Chicken
1 can Cream of chicken Soup (I used the 99% fat free kind)
1/2 c. milk
1 pkg. taco seasoning mix
2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
6 boneless skinless breasts pounded about 1/4 inch thick
3 c. fritos

Place Chicken breasts in 9x13 dish. Mix soup, milk, seasoning, cheese together. Pour over chicken. Crumble fritos in your hands and place on top of the mixture. Cover and bake 30 minutes. Uncover and sprinkle with a little more cheese and bake about another 10 minutes. I served it with rice, green beans, and some muffins. It was wonderful! Hope you get to try it!
