It's looking like Fall!

Our Front Door

Luke got me a pumpkin for the front porch!

The back porch now....flowers are a little sad, just need to water 'em

Our kitchen table

The Living Room

Today Luke and I decided to put up fall decorations. It really didn't take all that long...maybe a couple of hours. Luke cleaned the flowers out of my window boxes and stuffed them full of straw. I worked on the inside of the house putting it up on the living room and kitchen. I know it may be a little early to some, but fall sure is in the air today! The back patio now holds all my flowers and is like our own personal garden!

Happy Birthday Mom!

I was able to surprise my Mom big time today. I've been planning this for about 3 weeks now and it's hard to keep a secret that long! Aunt JJ and Katie even came down from Neosho for her party! She got to the house around 11:30 (Dad and even Dr. Mike's office was trying to kill some time with her). I opened the door and everyone hollered, "SURPRISE!" ...all except Katie and Aunt JJ...they were hiding. We finally were able to get Mom into the kitchen to start fixing her plate when Aunt JJ came up from behind. Mom was so surprised when she turned around, and of course the tears started flowing again. Katie was sitting at the table and Mom spotted her too! Dad even came for a little bit. It was a wonderful time of surprise and fellowship. These ladies are so special to me and Mom...it was nice to be able to surprise her!!

Great Minds Think Alike!

I was just sitting on the couch with my knitting needles watching Food Network's show, "The Best Thing I Ever Ate." Today it was the best thing between bread. I was just knitting away...and I thought, "Well I would have to say Steak and Shakes burger....there's no other one like it." Low and behold....Mark Summers was up next. What did he pick? Steak and Shake burger! He loves their fries, burger, and a vanilla coke! Of course they would show pics of the burger and all.....now I want one!!! Oh well maybe next time when we're in Branson! Way to go Mark great minds do think alike!

Bruce and Joy's Final Goodbye Reception

Mrs. Regina and Mrs. Sharon...sharing her recipe for Pecan Pie Muffins...because Pecan Pie is one of Bruce's favorite desserts!

Just part of the line....it wrapped around the whole sanctuary...we're thinking we had between 800-850 there.

Traci, Bruce, Abigail, and Casey Craft

Joy and Abigail...too cute!

Me & Jason....I'm hot and sweaty and covered in cake!

A HUGE Red Velvet Cake

The centerpiece
I completely forgot I had these pics on my camera. This past Sunday night was a going away reception for our Pastor Bruce and his wife Joy. They have been truly amazing in the 6 years they have been at Geyer Springs. The Lord has blessed our church beyond measure, and I can't wait to see what's in store for us next! At the reception each Sunday School Class was supposed to bring a cake or cookies of some sort. I have never in all my life seen so many sweets! I mainly stayed in the kitchen all night cutting cake and helping the ladies with the frozen punch. Jason Brock kindly took some pics for me....because I was covered in cake! Thanks Jason. Luke got some great ones too...I'll post those later on. Enjoy!

A Prayer Shawl

When Jason and Alicen told us they were pregnant I knew exactly what I wanted to make them. Because I didn't know the sex of the baby at the time, I decided to go with yellow yarn. I made a shawl/blanket using the Feather and Fan type pattern. It was truly a blessing to do. The group was able to pray for them through the shawl. I gave it to them this morning at church...it was a blessing to share something I made!

My Chinese Food Man

Our Yummy food....yes we ate it all!

Luke surprised me with tickets to go see Keith Urban and Sugarland....how could I pass that up??? We grabbed some dinner at our favorite Chinese Buffet here in Benton and then headed downtown. It was stop and go on the Arkansas River Bridge with traffic, I told Luke that every Bentonian must be attending this concert. We found a place to park and got into our seats. The concert was amazing. Sugarland has so much fun on stage....and well, a local fan did too! He was sitting right down from us, and he had a great time....maybe even a little too much to drink! ha! Keith Urban, well what can I say....He's a BABE!!! He came and sang to the people in the back of the arena...as well as on the sides. He is so talented with the guitar. The music was extra loud, I think my ears are still recovering. Thanks Luke for a great music filled night!!!
