At the preschool

At Geyer Springs Preschool anything can happen at anytime! I was a substitute yesterday for the three year olds and had a blast! I only had 6 kids yesterday which made it easier than normal.

Kids do say the funniest things though! Right after nap everyone must have a potty break. Well apparently 2 little boys really needed to go....so one said to the other, "If we hold it too long my daddy says your pee pee will fall off and then we have to go to the hospital!" Then, the other little boy decided to show the whole class his "peepee"...which I about fell in the floor...needless to say I was glad when potty time was over!!!

I did have 2 problem children out of those 6 though..one little boy told me, and I quote, "Be quiet you are giving me a headache"...he preceeded to say about a dozen times to me while he was in time out...for YELLING...talk about giving ME a headache. And the other little boy who shall remain nameless kicked me in the knee....yes I have a bruise. I also put him in time out where he continued to yell and tell me if I sent home a note to his parents his Mom would just laugh!

His Dad was no more interested in making the child mind at all! Oh well....all I have to say is he's 3 now...wait til he's 13!!!

I also got a huge compliment at the church yesterday. Mrs. Lisa came in and offered me a job working mornings in the preschool class! I was thrilled at the idea of having my own class! She also told me she didn't want to lose me as a sub though either....(so even with the yelling, headaches....they are happy with me!!!).

Luke and I discussed it last night and he really enjoys me being at home and only subbing! I love being able to take care of things here for us during the day...and subbing when I have time or they really need me. The Lord has blessed Luke and I beyond measure when it comes to our household and animals....and what better treasure than to be able to take care of them! I had a dream once to be a teacher, but that was before I figured out I already have a job! I'm a stay-at-home wife...I don't need a paycheck to make me feel like I need to be doing something more important...or feel more important....by having a "teacher title"..... a "stay-at-home wife" should be a title in itself!

Well enough rambling for today...I'm probably giving ya'll a headache! LOL!!!

I AM SO PROUD OF YOU!!! You HAVE the BEST job....taking care of your home to make it comfortable and easier for Luke to concentrate his efforts on doing his best at his job IS a very important job! You help HIM to succeed which helps ya'll! More young women need to get this figured out and I am so proud that YOU have! You keep doing what you know is right...the Lord guided you in this path. Others may not understand or even single you out, but you hold your head high! And besides, it gives you and I time to spend together after we get our chores done! That's what grandma always said - do your chores done first THEN you can play all you want to!

I love you and I am so proud of you! Your momma who has ALWAYS been a stay home wife and mother!

as a stay at home wife sometimes i feel like I am lazy for not getting a job outside the home...but as you know taking care of other people and pets is a huge job just in itself. So...be proud that you are a Domestic engineer, you will reap more benefits than you can even imagine that are far more greater than a paycheck. if there were more people like us then there would be less of those "problem kids" at school. for a long time I thought that I would never find the "perfect job". it turns out that this is what I was meant to do the whole time.

That is hysterical! About the kids, not about the job! Congrats on the offer. I think you would be great at the position, but I definately understand the decision!
