Taste of Home Cooking School

Mom and I joined Christylee, Mrs. Nancy, Susan, and Vaneesa at the Taste of Home Cooking School in Conway this past Saturday. This is the second time Chrusty and I have attended, and we love it better every year. The lady that does the cooking is really great and gives out some great tips. For example, to give your boxed cake mix a better taste...substitute the oil for melted butter and the water for milk. She also adds a splash of Vanilla to her cake mix. Mom and I ate beforehand at the Marketplace. The food was good, but the service was really crazy. The manager made our bill correct though. We ate afterwards at the Barrel while we were waiting for the storms to blow over. I had a great time! My pics turned out blurry because of the lighting in the auditorium. Oh well....I'll still scrapbook it anyhow!

Yes, it was a good time!!! Remember the lady that got to sit in the special seats on the stage...the one with NO teeth! That just cracked me up! LOL LOL And then to get 6 sheets of paper towels and she didn't use them but wiped her greasy hands on her SKIRT! LOL LOL It was good and there are several recipes I want to try! Thanks for my mothers day gift of getting to go!!!!!! Love, your momma

OH MY GOSH how fun! I receive the Taste of Home magazine, but I didn't know there was a cooking school so close. NEAT!
I think your friend in the second picture is a nurse for Dr. Seguine. ????
