Box of Love
Luke and I decided to pick up a Box of Love from the church on Sunday. We filled the box with the requested canned goods and a homemade Christmas card along with 5 bucks. I should have taken a picture of it before I took it to the church...oh well. I cannot tell you how much fun I had shopping for the items on the list. Yes, they were simple groceries and canned goods...but this is going to help out a needy family for Christmas. A frozen hen will be put in the box along with a bible and our Christmas card. We filled the box with green beans, corn, sweet taters, rice, drink mix, brownie mix, and that hen! That will make an awesome meal for someone. I say all of the above to simply say this....help someone in need this holiday season. You may not think you have the time or the funds....but you will get such a blessing from this. The Lord blesses us for blessing someone else!

We always do those things as a family also and we love it! Our family motto is Love God, Serve Others...so it fits right in and our kids get a big kick out of it too.
YOUR MOMMA SAYS:
I sit here in New Orleans with tears in my eyes - I am soooo proud of you. YOU GET IT!!!! So many people, young AND old, don't get that the more you give, the more you RECEIVE! It is really fun doing stuff like this - just know I am so proud of you my girl.
Well, I must get dressed and ready for the day here in nasty muggy New Orleans! LOL
love, your momma
