You can read about it below....not a good experience, as Luke said, "I got carnival cheese on my nachos!!!!"
Luke in Downtown Memphis
Me in Downtown Memphis
We're excited can you tell....it's TYLER PERRY!!!!!!
Where we at dinner.....it was as good as at home!
Our dinner
Madea was there, I promise, but these were taken with Luke's Iphone!
She's there too!!!!
And there....
Before the play began
Can you even tell it's Tyler/Madea!!!!!!
On Saturday Luke and I made a trip over to Memphis to see Tyler Perry's Madea's Big Happy Family. I couldn't wait!!!! We made it to Memphis in time to do a little yarn shopping....for me that is...and eat at the Neely's. I was super excited about getting to eat at the Neely's.....let's just say it wasn't all it was cracked up to be. I ordered BBQ Nachos....they came with squirt cheese all over them!!!!! Luke got the ribs and neither one of us were impressed. After lunch, we decided to walk in downtown Memphis. We enjoyed some ice cream at Maggie Moo's and even took a few pictures.
Tyler's play was at 3. It was a WONDERFUL play!!!!! Cassie Vance who plays Ella in House of Payne was in this play as well as Tyler himself....as Madea. He sang "Pants on the Ground" and a few other songs. Once he got on a roll though, it was hilarious. Some people don't like the Madea character, but I think we need more Madea's in this world. She doesn't take any crap off people, tells it like it is, and this play had Jesus all in it....in a good way!!!! If it didn't make you want to PTL then I don't know what will. OK, I'm off my soapbox, enjoy the pictures!!!!

What a fun day! Always so nice to get away. How disappointing about the Neeley's. You would think it would be top notch food. Now you know and thanks for sharing too. Do you hit up Maggie Moo's here too? Love their banana ice cream.
