Luke and I love to go to the Memphis Zoo. We went for the day yesterday and had a blast! The only thing I don't like about going to Memphis is crossing the Mississippi River!!!! When I was kid, we were the last ones to cross that bridge the year that it flooded. I was terrified...and have been ever since! When we do cross that bridge, there is NO talking and it's 10 & 2!!!
Anyways, back to the zoo. I was able to walk through the Cats Exhibits but then it was a wheelchair after that! The animals look so happy at the Memphis Zoo unlike the one in Little Rock. Luke and I ate at the Wild Cats Cafe AKA BackYard Burger for lunch. I took tons of pictures...and Luke did too! I even got some MeerCats for Ann....I know she loved that show on TV!
We left the zoo and headed to find the Archivers store. It is SO nice...I didn't spend a penny though (we were on a budget). It's even right next to Gordmans...and I didn't even go in. Now that's some self control! After snacking at TCBY we headed home. It was a LONG day! I had a blast. If you notice in one of the pictures I'm wearing a Therma Care heat wrap. I have developed a Crick (however you spell that) in my neck. Today it's completely on my right side. I'm thinking it has to do with my shoe! Thank God for heating pads!!!
Well enjoy the pics. We stopped at an Archaeological Museum on the way home. It was interesting and in the middle of NO where! I would have loved to take the tour but it was a 3/4 mile walk...no thanks in this shoe! We had a great time. Thank you Luke!!!

We love the Memphis Zoo also! My kids will always remember when I took them because they dared me to eat a package of chocolate covered crickets, grasshoppers, and other bugs...and I did!
we love going to the memphis zoo, but have not been since Bry was about 8 months. We really want to go back. Looks like yall had a great time.
I grew up going to the Memphis zoo all the time! Love it!
